| With its vast international
grassroots network, Rotary initiates global and community-based projects
to address a wide range of health risks that threaten the well-being of
those without access to adequate health care. In Tamale, Ghana, Rotary
club members helped to install 180 water wells and manual water pumps to
serve some 60,000 residents. Locally, our club funds the Marion Medical
Mission to build one water well per year in Africa. We also provide funds
to the Health programs of Rotary International to provide clean water wells
to help eliminate disease in Third-World countries. Each well costs $300. |
